Currently the world’s natural resources are in high demand and supplied to a diverse range of markets including; but not limited to, power generation, petrochemical industry, alternative energy, electronics, building materials, construction, automotive industry, and more.
IDF’s natural resources projects pledges the majority of the financial and economic advantages involved with the extraction and sale of natural resources to the domestic government and businesses within the country where the resources are being extracted.
Furthermore, countries that are in need of financial assistance in order to bring natural resource technology and expertise to their country to extract valuable natural resources are able to work with IDF. Therefore, there is an opportunity to use natural resources as collateral and/or financial payment or guarantees in exchange for energy and other infrastructure projects.
The policy on natural resources designed by IDF is a two tiered system. It takes into account responsible and sustainable extraction and delivery of natural resources to domestic and world markets as well as fair trade programs that guarantee all those involved in the extraction, processing and sale of natural resources receive a fair deal; this particularly applies to the domestic market.
Most importantly, IDF’s natural resource operations are concerned with the steady and positive development in the countries where IDF and its partners operate. Profits from natural resources are directed back into the country’s energy and infrastructure development projects; while at the same time GDP and government fiscal budgets are exponentially increased.
Finally, sustainability is always a major concern. All projects undertaken by IDF ensure that minimal damage is caused to the surrounding environments by working in tandem with environmentalist organizations.
